In 2012, two of the most popular viral videos of all time surfaced on YouTube.

South Korean Artist Psy debuted Gangnam Style on July 15, 2012; it quickly gained popularity after Josh Groban and T-Pain tweeted about the video in early August 2012.

American Electronic musician Baauer released his track “Harlem Shake” in early 2012; consequently the viral Harlem Shake video trend became an overnight success in February 2013

Both videos became international hits through their Internet success; our friends at Ghergich & Co. investigated and studied the popularity of each viral video through twitter statistics using the following Infograph.
