Throwback Thursday Jersey Matchup : Spurs VS Clippers

In honor of tonight’s San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers game, we celebrate Throwback Thursday with a look at some of our favorite throwback uniforms from both NBA squads.

First off we examine the Spurs road uniform used from 1976 till 1982. San Antonio great George “Iceman” Gervin made the jersey popular. The all black uniform looks extremely sharp; in addition, the silver around black numbers really makes the jersey pop.

Our Los Angeles Clippers throwback uniform comes from the time when they were called The Buffalo Braves. Braves great Bob McAdoo famously donned this beautiful powder blue uniform during the 1975-76 season. We can only wish both teams would sport these classic throwbacks on the court tonight; let us know which jersey you think wins the Throwback Thursday matchup!
