Brew Review: Helltown Rapture
Helltown Brewing is a local favorite of mine. These guys have been pumping out some seriously good brews of late. The brewery is run by two brothers and a partner who met at a local home-brewer’s association meeting. The combined years of home-brewing experience will no doubt lead to more delicious beers from these dudes in the near future. The Rapture IPA pours a wonderful, deep amber color with a thin, airy head. The nose is dominated by soft accents of grapefruit and hops. At first sip, the grapefruit dominates the palette, quickly giving way to a rush of hops. The hops recede to leave a clean, refreshing taste. The Rapture IPA will be a definite go-to for me as warmer weather begins to arrive.
