Brew Review: Troegs Nugget Nectar
Troegs Brewing did it again with this masterful Imperial Amber Ale. Their Perpetual IPA has long been a favorite of mine and a number of their other beers make the top of my list, but this was something special. My roommates and I had the privilege of getting a whole 24 pack of this glorious swill. We grabbed the second to last one and saw someone else in line ahead of us with another case of it, it had been going fast. It poured quite nicely with a brownish head and an orange/amber body. This beer was quite sweet, that was something we all agreed upon. Troegs really throws a bevy of hops at you with this one including Nugget, Warrior, Tomahawk, Simcoe, and Palisade. It’s brewed in a single batch (February-March). The amber nature of the beer with the bold hops creates a delicious flavor that resonates in your palate. Truly excellent
